WARRANTY POLICY

Section A. Warranty on Jewelry Made by Gemtree Creative Designs

The Gemtree Creative Designs limited workmanship and materials warranty described in this section applies only to jewelry products made by Gemtree Creative Designs. Warranty information for jewelry purchased from MMA International's Silver Star Collection is provide below in section E, "Warranty on Silver Star Collection Jewelry". 

Gemtree Creative Designs provides a 1 year limited workmanship and materials warranty on all jewelry made by Gemtree Creative Designs. This warranty covers defects in material and workmanship, but it does not cover neglect or abuse (see section B. below). You must ensure the regular upkeep of your jewelry in order to prevent your warranty from being voided. This includes paying for any normal repairs that may be required due to wear, damage, or abuse of your jewelry item. The periodic inspection of your jewelry purchase is the best way to safeguard against having  warranty issues. Gemtree Creative Designs provides free cleaning and inspections of jewelry for this reason. To have your jewelry cleaned and inspected, free of charge, contact us by email (customerservice@gemtreecreativedesigns.com) or by phone (at (520) 308-4761) to request a WARRANTY Return Material Authorization (RMA) number for your free cleaning and inspection. Then mail the item to us (you only pay for the shipping charges) along with the RMA number and a copy of your Gemtree Creative Designs purchase receipt. When mailing your jewelry item(s) wrap each piece securely and send it to us via UPS or Postal Service registered and insured

The Gemtree Creative Designs limited workmanship and materials warranty covers defects in materials and all labor required to repair; loose or separated solder joints, loose or separated solder connections, bezel separation, loose or missing prong mounts, loose stones, or stones that come out of their setting, for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. This includes both labor and a replacement stone in the event of stone cracking if; upon our inspection we determine the cracking is not due to impact or rough handling. (We reserve the right to exclude stones that are susceptible to shattering when placed in ultra-sonic cleaning units.) 

Infrequently stones may become loose or dislodged without excessive wear on the jewelry piece. In the unlikely event that this happens, the workmanship warranty will cover the labor only repair of the merchandise. If a stone falls out and you completely lose it, you are responsible for the cost of the new stone to be replaced, and the cost of shipping the item to us for repair. However, the labor services are free and covered by our 1 year limited workmanship and materials warranty

The Gemtree Creative Designs 1 year limited workmanship and materials warranty is not a refund warranty, it is a repair warranty only. It does not include the costs of shipping the item. 

Section B. Gemtree Creative Designs 1 Year Limited Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover items that need repair due to:

  • Impact, rough handling, accidents, or abuse: The warranty will be void if the jewelry shows any of these signs.

  • Stones that are lost due to bent, damaged, or worn out prongs: Gemtree Creative Designs is not responsible for the replacement of the stone or the re-tipping of the prongs.

  • Loss or defect on a Jewelry item purchased from Gemtree Creative Designs due to repairs attempted by another jeweler: This will cause the warranty to become null and void.

We inspect all items returned for repair to determine if repairs are necessary due to any of the non-workmanship reasons just described. If we determine repairs are required for non-workmanship reasons the Gemtree Creative Designs 1 year limited workmanship and materials warranty becomes void. However, we will estimate the repair costs and offer buyer a 25% reduced rate to repair the item. If the buyer accepts the offer we will require full payment for the repair, including the return shipping costs, upon completion of the repair. The repaired item will be returned to the buyer after their payment for repair (and shipping) is received.

Section C. Discount for Non-warranty Repairs

Repairs after the 1 year warranty period has expired will be done at a 20% discount if you provide proof of purchase. Cleaning and inspection will always be done at no charge as long as you own the jewelry piece. You are still responsible for all shipping costs. 

Section D. Return Material Authorization Requirement

All returns covered under this workmanship and materials warranty require the buyer to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number prior to the items return. Contact Gemtree Creative Designs by email (customerservice@gemtreecreativedesigns.com) or by phone (at (520) 308-4761) to request a WARRANTY RMA number. All returns on custom designed pieces require this number and a printed copy of the purchase receipt be included with the item being sent for repair. Any warranty items we receive without a WARRANTY RMA number or purchase receipt will be returned to the owner at their expense.

Section E. Warranty on Silver Star Collection Jewelry

Silver Star Collection jewelry manufactured by MMA International is not covered under the Gemtree Creative Designs 1 year limited workmanship and materials warranty. Silver Star Collection jewelry is covered by the MMA International 30 day return policy. However, Gemtree Creative Designs will attempt to facilitate a repair or replacement on any item from the MMA International Silver Star Collection, that was purchased from us, for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase should a workmanship defect(s) appear.

If a defect appears within 30 days of purchase:

  1. Contact Gemtree Creative Designs by email (customerservice @gemtreecreativedesigns.com) or by phone (at (520) 308-4761) and provide us with a detailed description of the defect and the date of your purchase. We may request photos of the defect to substantiate your claim.

  2. We will arrange to have the item repaired or replaced by MMA International and then contact you with RMA instructions.

Note that claims must be made by notifying us within the 30 day period to guarantee repair or replacement of the item.

If a defect appears after 30 days, but within a 1 year period from the date of purchase:

  1. Contact Gemtree Creative Designs by email (customerservice @gemtreecreativedesigns.com) or by phone (at (520) 308-4761) and provide us with a detailed description of the defect and the date of your purchase. We may request photos of the defect to substantiate your claim.

  2. We will work with MMA International to resolve the issue on your behalf if we conclude the defect is due to workmanship, and not due to impact, rough handling, accidents, or abuse.

  3. We will contact you after speaking with MMA International and provide you with information on their proposed resolution. 

  4. We'll provide you with instructions on how to proceed based on the acceptability of the solution.

Our free cleaning and inspection policy does not cover items that are purchased from the Silver Star Collection.
